Horn Book (Tue Aug 01 00:00:00 CDT 2017)

This easy-reader adaptation of the 1946 Little Golden Book written by Gertrude Crampton and illustrated by Tibor Gergely features very simple text that gets across the gist of the story--toy tugboat longs for freedom and has adventures before being rescued by its owner--but flattens it. The new illustrations are decent approximations of the originals but with a more synthetic look.
