The cliffhanger continues in the sequel to Conspiracy of Us (Penguin, 2015/VOYA December 2014). Avery West is again paired with Keepers Stellan and Jack in her quest to find the tomb of Alexander the Great. It affords her the only hope of rescuing her mom, held captive by the Order. Both the Order and the Circle seek this ancient prize. Avery must follow a cryptic set of clues to find a second bracelet that will reveal the tomb's location. Short of resources, she enlists the help of her long-lost Circle family, the wealthy and powerful Saxons. Father and half-sister seem affable and eager to help, but family harmony degenerates when they reveal that a Circle prophecy of a "union forged in blood" requires Avery to marry the heir of another Circle family. Hoping to use the global suitor tour to search for clues, Avery agrees. Unfortunately, as she flies in to meet potential suitors, each is murdered, seemingly by the Order. Enter a new cast of teen sleuths, who pursue each otherromanticallyas much as they do the elusive bracelet, solving one mystery to be challenged by a new one.Map of Fates is a fusion of familiar romance, fantasy, and adventure tropes. It will interest teens who enjoy this type of mildly steamy cloak-and-dagger adventure, especially those who read Conspiracy of Us. It suffers from mild confusion as a stand-alone, and it leaves readers as it found themat the edge of the cliff, waiting for the next installment.Donna L Phillips.

“A Da Vinci Code–style thriller for teens? Yes please.”—TeenVogue.com. The second book in the Conspiracy of Us series is perfect for fans of Ally Carter and The Selection series.
Two weeks.
That’s how long it took for Avery West’s ordinary life to change forever. In two weeks, she discovered she was heiress to a powerful secret society known as the Circle, learned her mother was taken hostage by the Circle’s enemies, and fell for a boy she's not allowed to love, just as she found out another was her unwelcome destiny.
Now Avery's on the hunt for clues that will uncover the truth about the Circle, setting her mom and herself free before it's too late. By her side are both the boys: Jack—steady, loyal, and determined to help her even at the expense of his own duty—and Stellan, whose connection to Avery grows stronger by the day, making her question what she believes at every turn. In the world of the Circle, is anyone what they seem?
