Horn Book (Wed Aug 01 00:00:00 CDT 2018)

These graphic-novel abridgements vary from modest but adequate storytelling (in shorter tales like Wilde's) to merely illustrated plot summaries for more complex works (Melville's and Homer's). All the tales are told in short sentences featuring modern English. Stylized illustrations can make characters hard to distinguish when the narration is already so reduced. Each volume includes brief background material, discussion questions, and writing prompts. Glos.
