In this picture-book tie-in to the Netflix animated series, Llama Llama can't wait to spend the day helping his mom (refrain: "It's so much fun / having errands to run!"...said no child, ever). At each stop, he's delayed by a friend; savvy listeners will sniff out the surprise party a mile away. Stiff illustrations look like the cartoon but lack the warmth and dimension of Dewdney's picture-book art.
