The Events That Changed America series offers snapshots of important moments in American history. These compact books have plenty of visuals that work well with the brisk texts. John F. Kennedy's Assassination spans the four days from Kennedy's assassination, on November 22, 1963, to his burial at Arlington National Cemetery, on November 25. The narration is gripping, but at one point the text, rather oddly, goes inside the mind of Lee Harvey Oswald. Each book features quotations from only a couple of sources, "Fast Facts," a time line, and critical-thinking questions. Good entry points into American history.
