Horn Book (Tue Aug 01 00:00:00 CDT 2017)

Alien is in charge of keeping the stars shining, but one night they go out. He travels to Earth in search of a magic varnish and meets a boy who shows him that what he really needs is a friend. The bright illustrations, particularly a spread showing the shining stars, are winsome, but the convoluted story lacks excitement.
