Android Iko is still hunting down rogue wolf-soldier Steele, but her quest takes on a new urgency after he convinces Iko's friend Wolf to join his renegade cause. Now Iko and the frustrating (but handsome!) guard Liam Kinney must scramble to prevent a massacre during Cinder's visit to Earth for the annual Peace Festival. Picking up directly after volume one and leading smoothly into the last story from Meyer's collection Stars Above (2016), Iko's second graphic-novel outing might not be a groundbreaking work, but it will more than satisfy the series' many fans. All of the usual crew are present, and there is action, romance, and plenty of snappy banter. Gilpin's art brings the characters to life and close to their book descriptions, though several of the guys are hard to distinguish from one another. Readers who haven't read the series previously will be lost, but current fans will be delighted to revisit Meyer's futuristic Earth and her young saviors. A must-have addition to teen collections.
Horn Book
In this second engaging graphic novel (spun-off from the long-running sci-fi series), android Iko risks everything to protect her friend, Lunar Queen Cinder, from Lysander Steele's bioengineered wolf-soldiers. Meyer also compellingly weaves in discussion of nature versus nurture as Iko struggles with revelations concerning her humanity. Dialogue and action blend seamlessly across Gilpin's monochrome-blue panels, allowing fans to savor this reunion with all their favorite characters.

The second graphic novel, and sequel to Wires and Nerve, Volume 1 , from #1 New York Times and USA Today Bestseller Marissa Meyer! The world of the Lunar Chronicles comes alive in this thrilling continuation of Wires and Nerve . Iko--an audacious android and best friend to the Lunar Queen Cinder--has been tasked with hunting down Alpha Lysander Steele, the leader of a rogue band of bioengineered wolf-soldiers who threaten to undo the tenuous peace agreement between Earth and Luna. Unless Cinder can reverse the mutations that were forced on them years before, Steele and his soldiers plan to satisfy their monstrous appetites with a massacre of the innocent people of Earth. And to show he's serious, Steele is taking hostages. Cinder and Kai, Scarlet and Wolf, Cress and Thorne, and Winter and Jacin all feature in this epic new battle. But it is Iko who must face her deepest fears when she uncovers the truth about her own unusual programming. Questions of love, friendship, and mortality take Iko on an emotional journey that will satisfy and delight fans of this bestselling series.
