Less than a month after returning to Earth with her alien boyfriend, Ruckus, Delaney's in danger again, threatened by the violent Prince Trystan. Stuck on the planet Xenith with no way out, Delaney has to choose between her own happiness and the safety of Olena's people. It's an impossible choice: her freedom or the lives of millions? While this story starts off with pulse-pounding adventure, it settles into a tale of political maneuvering as Delaney tries to please everyone, save lives, and get back home to Earth, hopefully with her boyfriend in tow. There's still just enough romance, though this sequel (Amid Stars and Darkness, 2017) of a planned trilogy is slightly more serious than the first.
