Horn Book (Sat Apr 01 00:00:00 CST 2006)

Each of these books explores a particular math concept (addition, fractions, etc.) in a child-friendly context (in nature, at holiday time). The upbeat text and photos are selling points, but the authors don't seem to have decided on their audience: readers who will still appreciate "Honk! Honk!" probably aren't ready for the associative property of addition. Reading list, websites. Glos., ind.
