Horn Book (Thu Apr 01 00:00:00 CDT 2010)

Jill, who lives on a pony farm, is excited to teach her friends about riding. After a busy day, the girls can't sleep. They sneak out to the barn--and are surprised by a new arrival. The fact that Jill's mom doesn't know her pony is pregnant strains credulity. Nevertheless, this gentle adventure, illustrated with cheerful cartoon illustrations, will entice pony-loving readers.
