Sparks fly instantly between Morio and Yukiko in this romantic comedy about a delinquent who falls in love with a visually impaired girl. This funny and delightful manga shows how Morio, known around town as the Black Panther after a series of fights left him with a scar over his eye, and Yukiko, an assertive girl who can only see vague shapes and colors, build up their confidence in each other as a result of their relationship. The story and artwork convey Yukiko's experiences, and there's quite a bit about how accessibility improves experiences for all users. This delightful manga is ultimately about confidence, growing in experience, and the joys of first love. In the first volume, there's an excellent subplot where Yukiko is firm with her sister, her caretaker, about her need for independence and growth and for her sister to see her and not her disability. While there are plenty of laughs in this comedy, there are also sincere discussions around disability issues.
