K-Gr 2-This counting book starts with zero, so on the first page, there are no insects. Each subsequent page shows a different creature in the quantity identified, such as five butterflies. Each number appears at the top of the page with the Spanish word, such as cinco for five, alongside. The insects are part of a larger illustration on any given page, so children will have to find the bugs amidst the leaves or branches of the trees. This will be good to use with small groups of youngsters as they count and point at the same time. Full-color illustrations work their way around the engaging text.
