Horn Book

In Kitty, Hank takes advice from a scheming barn cat and causes a ranch vehicle to get stuck in a snowdrift. In Doom, another great idea lands Hank in obedience school, although his educational career proves brief. As usual, Hank's windy narration is full of malapropisms, bad jokes, and wretched song lyrics. The accompanying black-and-white illustrations are as weak as the writing.
