Improbably, ranch-dog Hank is back for a forty-ninth book. This time he confuses the automatic-door-lock buttons and other high-tech marvels on a new pickup truck with someone's effort to harm him. Readers unamused by the spoonerism-filled narration ("the tooth is even stranger than friction") and the who's-on-first-style banter won't make it far.
