Four of Warner's original stories are reinterpreted in graphic novel format, which may lure some readers. Just the thread of plot remains in each, though, and any character development from the original books is lost in the slim retellings. The time periods are particularly disjointed--cars, clothing, and plot elements all seem to come from different eras.
