Horn Book (Wed Aug 01 00:00:00 CDT 2018)

These two well-written titles for beginning readers use controlled vocabulary and concise texts to synthesize broad-ranging, complicated histories of technology. Circuit boardinspired graphics and historical illustrations and photographs add appeal. Unfortunately, neither book defines its central term (robots, transportation) and, for this age level, a timeline would have been useful to summarize each topic's span of history. Reading list.
