Teens Sadie and Noah (aka BZRK agents Plath and Keats) are called back into action when seemingly unrelated nanobot attacks result in the deaths of people as diverse as police in New Zealand and Nobel Prize winners in Sweden. The two agents and their inner circle assume the threat is from old enemies, the Armstrong Fancy Gifts Company and its conjoined-twin owners. But the reality both the plan and its perpetrator much more aggressive and much worse than they know. Though Grant drops background info throughout, readers will be lost if they don't begin this thrill ride with BZRK (2012) and BZRK Reloaded (2013) before tackling a story this kaleidoscopic. The good news is that this concluding volume in the trilogy is both ambitious and riveting. Familiar characters return, but the deft juxtaposition of Lear and Plath well as the men in their lives kes a strong (if gruesome) story even stronger by focusing more on psychological rather than physical damage. HIGH-DEMAND BACKSTORY: With the Gone series concluded, Grant's fans should continue to drift toward this new flagship, and plenty of advertising and retail support intend to make it so.
Horn Book
After a brief rest, Noah, Sadie, and the rest of the BZRK crew return to action as the Armstrong twins and Lear develop new plans to destroy each other--and the world. Fans of the disturbing series can expect more violence, action, and plot twists in both the micro and macro as things come to an explosive ending in this volume.

The Matrix meets Inner Space in this third book in the BZRK trilogy from New York Times best-selling author Michael Grant.
The members of BZRK are preparing for their final stand. Noah and Sadie have seen death, and it holds no fear for them. Madness does, though. And losing each other. But they will not sit back, the only witnesses to an invisible apocalypse. The world is being destroyed from the inside out. It's time for them to fight to the last, in the streets and in the nano.
The staggering conclusion to the BZRK trilogy is a story with both thrills and heart, packed with the author's trademark jaw-dropping set pieces and pace.
