When Scooby Doo and the Mystery Inc. Gang respond to reports of a bat creature terrorizing the mall, they run into a wholly different kind of bat tman (and Robin)! They decide to team up with the dynamic duo to fight bad guys together, which means plenty of gadgets for Batman and Robin and pulling the masks off villains for Scooby and the gang. In another story, Scooby Doo and Ace the Bathound work together on their own to rescue their human friends, and in another, Daphne and Velma get special Amazon training with Wonder Woman on Themyscira. The Scoobies' infamous ineptitudes are all on display ey crash into each other, they get called "meddling kids," almost every story involves someone trying to tug a mask off someone's face, and Shaggy and Scooby are alternately starving or cowering in fear. Rendered in artwork that recalls the classic candy-colored Hanna-Barbera cartoon, this nostalgia-inducing series has lots of appeal for young comics readers as well as their parents, who will likely appreciate the campy trip down memory lane.
