Gr 2-5 Cranking up the adrenaline and fascinating facts with "Snack On This!" and "Chew On That!" text boxes scattered throughout, each of these accessible, brightly designed titles introduces 7 to 13 predators. Basic information and general physical descriptions are matched with toothy color photos, or, in the cases of Spiders and Snakes , extreme close ups. Considering the premise, direct views of dismembered prey or splashes of gore are almost entirely absent, but even when nurturing eggs or offspring these meat eaters are plainly intent on their next meals.
