A final battle ensues to save the kingdoms, and Lucy discovers her mother's connection to the faerie world. Bizarre-looking photorealistic illustrations create a magical if unsettling element; the plots remains clipped and overly simplistic. A less expensive trade edition that includes all four volumes is also available.
