As in Harry Potter: The Creature Vault (2014), Revenson takes another look behind the scenes of the ever-popular Harry Potter film franchise. This time, the focus is film sets. Split into location ("Diagon Alley," "Ministry of Magic," "Wizarding Houses," etc.), this glossy, highly visual account details the development of each set, with comments from directors and production designers of the films included for added depth. Hogwarts, of course, is given special focus, with three of the nine chapters dedicated to its grounds, classrooms, and the castle itself. Sections in these chapters also go into how some of the magical effects were achieved, especially ones that involved set pieces moving on their own. The layout includes movie stills, concept art, and schematics for the various sets, and pull quotes from the original novels are sprinkled liberally throughout. A welcome coffee-table companion for movie buffs and Potterheads alike.
