Who wants to learn basic physical concepts from a boring human? The Dinosaur School series employs dozens of wildly colored, wide-eyed, gleefully grinning, computer-illustrated dinos to illustrate the most elementary of first lessons. This is all about clarity: the bright characters cavort across plain white pages, while a brief sentence in large font makes a single declaration. Both pages in each spread play off each other to highlight the two opposing concepts. Each left-hand page in Which Is Different? features three dinos, with one possessing something different, which is then isolated on the right-hand page. A couple of these will actually take adults a few seconds to spot, too at ice-cream cone looks a lot like those cookies! Occasionally ending with visual glossaries, this is fine sit-and-learn stuff for the tiniest tykes.

The concepts of "same" and "different" are important for early learners to understand, and they are the focal point of this fun and helpful book. Bright cartoon dinosaurs can be found on each page, alongside easy-to-follow text asking readers to question which dinosaur is different from the others and explaining why. The strong correlation between illustrations and text allows for the development of vocabulary skills. This book presents young readers with a variety of real-world differences--including differences in clothing and differences in food. These are each depicted in a way that allows for independent learning and an enjoyable reading experience.
