Lunch Lady and her sidekick Betty have been let go from Thompson Brook School because of the evil new superintendent's budget cuts. But the unlikely superhero gets back to business to help the Breakfast Bunch put a stop to Dr. Van Grindheimer's maniacal plans. This tenth and final graphic novel, featuring energetic highlighter-yellow-accented black-and-white art, is Lunch Lady's most epic good-versus-evil battle.

ALA Booklist

The graphic-novel chronicles of the superheroic Lunch Lady and her elementary-school devotees Hector, Terrence, and Dee conclude with a grand-slam episode pitting these good guys' wiles against every evil character previously thought to be thwarted. The school board has been taken over by the dark side, and all the good staff, save the mumbling janitor, have been dismissed and replaced. The kids sneak Lunch Lady and her sidekick Betty back into the school building, and with wild and wonderful help from the League of Librarians, the school d the day saved. A perfect finale for a never-failing bout of silliness interwoven with honest and accurate elementary-school politics.

Gr 2-5 The crime-fighting Lunch Lady has been canned by the dastardly new superintendent, and a slew of thugs have united to take over the school in her absence. The Breakfast Bunch, Lunch Lady, and her cohort Betty must team up in this final volume to save Thompson Brook School for good. The only downside to this book is that it's the last in the series. Fans will eat it up and still be hungry for more from the heroic Lunch Lady and her pals.

Lunch Lady and Betty have been unceremoniously cut from the school budget, and the timing couldn't be worse—the villains from all nine of her previous adventures are worming their way back into Thompson Brook with a masterfully devious plan. Will the Breakfast Bunch still be able to count on Lunch Lady's superhero gadgets and abilities to save the school, or are they on their own? Don't miss Lunch Lady's swashbuckling finale!
