The four Alden children discover a thief in Sunriver, Oregon, and uncover the truth about rumors of a ghost at their local cemetery. The mysteries are direct and simply told, but, like the other recent books in the series, they are characterized by formulaic writing, flat characters, and limited internal logic. These installments are unlikely to create new fans.
