Robotics and automation are becoming increasingly prevalent, and the Amazing Robots series aims to introduce young readers to the many ways robots contribute to all corners of daily life. Robots in Space is perhaps the most thrilling features space probes, landers, rovers, and even a humanoid robot that may one day explore the outer reaches of space. Each volume features straightforward, if at times dense, text and inset boxes that pose critical thinking questions or offer glimpses into the future of robotics. Though each title surveys a wide range of robots, the descriptions are occasionally too brief, and the broad definition of robot might raise questions: Is a body camera a robot or just a machine? Still, the full-color photos of robots in action and the high-interest nature of robotics may catch the interest of science-minded kids.
